Community Outreach Projects

At Mountain’s Edge Recovery, we understand the profound impact of substance abuse on individuals and their communities. We are committed to not only helping those struggling with addiction but also fostering a strong sense of community support and involvement. Our Community Outreach program is designed to bridge the gap between treatment and community, creating a network of care that extends far beyond our facility.

Overdose Awareness Day 2023 – Candlelight Vigil

On August 31st, 2023 Mountain’s Edge Recovery worked with Lackawanna County’s key recovery resource provider The Recovery Bank to honor those we’ve lost to the disease addiction. It was inspiring to see so many members and supporters of the local recovery community show up to share this beautiful evening. We were also excited to have members of the Lackawanna County Treatment Court, the Scranton Police Department and the District Attorney’s office in attendance.

In 2022, CDC statistics show there were over 109,000 overdose/drug-related deaths in America. At Mountain’s Edge, one of our goals is to continuously spread awareness so that we can save lives and one day watch this statistic go down.

Treatment Court Softball Tournament

On September 16, 2023 Mountain’s Edge Recovery co-sponsored the Lackawanna County Treatment Court Softball Tournament. This was an excellent chance to celebrate the LCTC program and bring people in recovery together. There was great food, a lot of fellowship and a ton of fun had. We were grateful to earn the honor of LCTC Softball Champions by winning the tournament with our team of alumni, clients and staff.

Lackawanna County Recovery Walk 2023

On September 24, 2023 Mountain’s Edge Recovery was a co-sponsor of the 2023 Lackawanna County Recovery Walk at Nay Aug Park in Scranton. We had a great time hanging out with hundreds of people from the recovery community and walking to spread awareness.
